January 12, 2017 – The F.W. Webb Company emerged onto the retail scene in Bangor, ME in 2001 when it opened the city's first and only bath fixtures showroom – Frank Webb's Bath Center* – at 67 Target Industrial Cir. Over the succeeding 15 years, this showroom proudly served the needs of Bangor and surrounding communities from that admittedly tight 1,600-sq.-ft. space. All this has changed now.
F.W. Webb has made a substantial investment and commitment to the Bangor area by relocating and expanding its Bangor showroom. Now open at 1156 Hammond St., the new Frank Webb’s Bath & Lighting Center* is more than four times the size of the original. At 6,400-sq.-ft., this expansive showroom boasts display after display of the finest bath, kitchen and lighting products in the industry.
"Reaction to the new showroom from the greater Bangor community is overwhelmingly positive," said local Showroom Manager Heather Gaudett. "Homeowners and trade professionals alike are finding it to be an invaluable resource for their home improvement and construction projects."
The attractive, welcoming showroom also displays "Aging in Place" or "Universal Design" products for homeowners planning for their future or the care of elderly loved ones. Universal design also accommodates children and people with disabilities. It helps people enjoy their homes and be comfortable through many phases of life.
Today's faucetry can range from the classic two-handle to a myriad of high-tech options – all in many styles and finishes. Water savings and hands-free sensor technology are especially popular. Trendy functionality in showerheads includes integrated lighting, mood color (aka, chromotherapy), and Bluetooth. Toilets have come a long way, too, with heated seats, auto clean, and washlets and bidets. Standalone soaking tubs are all the rage.
To help homeowners and contractors select the right products, the new showroom features more than 100 hands-on working displays. Visitors, for instance, can test the flow of water from faucets and spray from showerheads, with guidance from knowledgeable Frank Webb associates.
"The Bangor showroom is a true destination for local homeowners and contractors with its vastly expanded product offering," Gaudett added. "Everyone in the community is welcome to stop in and have a look. I also encourage people to make an appointment with me or a member of my team for dedicated service and minimal wait time."
